Why are we changing our name?

We wanted a name we could call our own and trademark. Our markets have become saturated with banks with Community and Trust in their name — over 230 bank branches, to be exact. We will always be committed to community and always understand the importance of trust. Our desire was to come up with a name that is as unique as we believe we are and to minimize confusion throughout our markets.

So why the name Origin?

The word Origin is defined as “the point or place where something begins or is created. It is the source or cause of something.” The name Origin exemplifies our uniqueness from within; it is our core strength where everything stems from - the origin. Origin also focuses on who we want to be. Origin is the place where dreams can be created — for our customers, employees, shareholders and communities.

Was the bank sold or is it merging?

No. The name change is not the result of being sold or being merged with another institution. Only the name and the brand associated with our new name will change; everything else stays exactly the same. You can expect the same great community bank with the same great community focus.

How does this affect my Online Banking?

You will not need to make any changes or updates to your Online Banking access. Usernames and passwords will not change for Online Banking, Treasury Management, Mobile Banking/Apps, Voice Banking or Quicken and Quickbooks.

How does this affect my account?

It’s simple, not at all. Nothing about existing accounts will change. Account numbers, PINs, routing numbers and all account information will remain exactly the same.

When can I expect new cards and checks?

All Community Trust Bank ATM cards, debit cards, credit cards and checks will continue to function normally. As an existing customer, all of your plastic cards will be reissued over time, reflecting the new Origin name and brand, absolutely free of charge. When it’s time to reorder your checks, your order will have the new branding on them as well.
