Angie Blades felt her calling in the health and natural foods category in the late 70s when she began working at Fiesta Nutrition. After 27 years of mastering the business as an employee, Angie bought the business. Rick Siudy, who’s been Angie’s banker since the 80s when they were both just starting to thrive in their careers, has seen her spectacular growth.▶Watch Video
With the health industry booming, Angie set her sights on relocating to a spacious landmark building in midtown Monroe. She proposed the opportunity to Rick, who helped her secure a loan to make it happen. “Rick also provided advice on how to proceed with this huge investment to expand my ‘natural food mecca.’ And I think he’s amazed and proud of our growth,” Angie says with a smile.
Origin Bank and Fiesta Nutrition are truly a natural fit. “There’s a bank on every corner,” Angie says, “but not every bank has their fingers on the pulse of their customers like Origin.” To which Rick adds, “We’re big in a lot of ways, but we want to be small in some ways, too. And finding that balance and mix of technology and personal touch has always been the trick.” Angie’s passion shows in everything she does. “I’m on my fourth generation of customers, and it’s very rewarding to see that legacy, so to speak,” she proudly remarks.
