Betty Lou Robertson

Betty Lou: Scotty and I got married when we were at Tech. He started out coaching in the smallest school in the state and worked himself up into the pros. He was really a self-made man.

Sharron: He was the first coach for the Miami Heat, right?

Betty Lou: No. New Orleans' Jazz.

Sharron: New Orlean Jazz, okay.

Sharron: I don't know

Betty Lou: Liz, tell her to let you handle the sports.

Sharron: Listen, I...1998's when I met you and Mr. Scotty.

Betty Lou: Yeah. We had just retired from pro basketball and moved back to Ruston. The bank was a welcoming place for us. Not only did you feel welcomed from a business standpoint but from a personal standpoint. I know anytime I need anything, if I pick up the phone and ask for Sharon or Liz, it's done.

Sharron: And we loved when she called up there and needed us. We love it because usually when Scotty called, he had already got himself into something that we had to get him out of. Miss Betty Lou would at least call and say, "Hey, girls, can I do this?" And we'd say, "Phew. Yeah, you can do it." You know?

Betty Lou: And that's a comforting feeling for anybody but especially when you're talking about somebody's money.

Sharron: That's our relationship with Miss Betty Lou.

Betty Lou: They are so important. In fact, my granddaughter that was just here, I said, "I've written a list of some people who are very important to me and their phone numbers..."

Liz: She's going to make me cry if she says that.

Betty Lou: "...that I trust. When the curtain falls, you pull this list out and right at the top, Origin Bank Sharon Schimmel, Liz Johnson."

Sharron: Our customers make Liz and I feel like we are Origin Bank.

Betty Lou: I feel very comfortable with them. I know they have my best interests at heart and I love them dearly.

Liz: They're just like our family. We feel that way about you.

Betty Lou: They're full of fun, they brighten up anybody's day. Very special.

Sharron: As we get older, this is what we want to be like.

Betty Lou: And you would not...both these girls are grandmothers. I cannot believe it. They're just...

Sharron: And you'd better cut that out.
