Roach Plumbing

Mary: I've got him on my speed dial.

Jim: I'll answer her phone call.

Mary: He does, every time.

Jim: My brother though, eh. My dad was a plumber, my grandfather was a plumber, I'm a plumber, my brother Louis is a plumber. It's born in it, my daddy had me under houses when I was 13 years old re-piping them. My guys, I'll tell them, when you go to somebody's house, identify what you're there to fix, but try to get a relationship with that person.

Jim: It means a lot to people. The banking is the same way. When you walk in the bank, they all welcome you.

Mary: When Jim comes to the bank, he lights up the whole place. Everybody gets in a good mood, he makes everybody laugh.

Jim: We both love people, we're both energetic, we both like giving back. I got started with Woody's Home for Veterans. It's an organization that's really good to give to, because you're giving back to people that gave you freedom.

Mary: Jim had come to me and told me that he was working on that project, and he basically was heading it up. He was so passionate about it.

Jim: Mary said, "I'm there." She even came to the function and worked, cooking chickens, selling Cokes, hot dogs, for veterans.

Mary: The bank allows us Project Enrich hours, which give me the opportunity to get involved in some of those non-profit organizations.

Jim: They go the extra mile. It means a lot. I called Mary up one time, "Mary, I'm working late and it's going to be probably 5:30, quarter to 6:00 before I can get to you, but I've got to have a check." "I'll wait on you." I mean, how many people do that? Nobody. They just don't do it, they say, "Come back tomorrow."

Mary: I've got several of my customers that I have that I feel like they are family, they're not just a customer that I'm trying to fill an order for. But I give him a lot of advice, some banking...

Jim: Yeah.

Mary: Some just about life lessons, and sometimes he takes my advice...

Jim: I do.

Mary: And sometimes he doesn't. But he normally comes back and he'll say, "You know what, you were right."

Jim: You were right. ♪ [music] ♪
