Origin Bank Hires Sara Imes as Chief Audit Executive

Origin Bank has hired Sara Imes as their Chief Audit Executive. Imes will provide strategic oversight to the bank’s internal audit function, ensuring effective, independent reviews assess and improve processes across the bank, while also preparing the function to comply with all regulatory requirements for banks with more than $10B in total assets.

Imes has more than 16 years of experience in the banking industry. In her new role, she will develop and implement a risk-based audit plan while overseeing the planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of audit initiatives across the organization. In addition, she will partner with all levels of management and cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls and support risk management functions.

Imes earned a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration from Texas Tech University. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Dallas Chapter. She and her husband Scott share two young daughters and support a variety of community non-profit organizations including the North Texas Food Bank.
