Origin Bank Welcomes Bart Dugdale as Director of Investment Partnerships

Origin Bank is pleased to announce that Bart Dugdale has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Partnerships.

In this newly created role, Dugdale will enhance strategic alignment with Origin Bank’s investment partnerships, including insurance, wealth management, and fintech. He will be responsible for driving growth, improving operational and financial performance, optimizing acquisition and incentive strategies, and strengthening alignment and collaboration with the bank’s long-term objectives.

Dugdale’s diverse background includes more than 17 years in the insurance industry, most recently as Associate Managing Director for Burns & Wilcox, a wholesale insurance agency. He joined Burns & Wilcox in 2023 through the acquisition of McIntyre & Associates, Inc., where he served as principal partner. Early in his career, Dugdale worked at Heard, McElroy and Vestal, LLP, earning his CPA license while focusing primarily on audits of bank financial statements. He also served nearly 10 years on the board of directors for Century Next Bank, experience he describes as instrumental in deepening his understanding of banking.

A Ruston native, Dugdale is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in professional accountancy. He is active in the community as vice-chairman of the Cedar Creek School Board of Directors and a member of The Bridge Community Church. He and his wife, Joanna, have two daughters, Georgia and Charlotte.
