Oscar Orduno, Inc.

Riley: If you could, would you fix I-35?

Riley: Maybe you could drive.

Oscar: Right.
We're actually working on I-35 right now but that's probably going to be forever.

Riley: I don't think I'm going to live long enough to see that thing finished.

Oscar: We specialize and support deep excavations in the commercial construction and highway construction.

Riley: I distinctly remember the very first meeting we ever had. After having done this for over 40 years, I've had a whole lot of people walk in, sit down, and tell me their story. Some of the things that jumped out different with Oscar was that he was very organized. He knew what his jobs cost and how much profit was in them.

Oscar: We put the effort in showing them why we're the experts in what we do and they felt comfortable helping us.

Riley: You should never short sell the fact he's earned it.

Oscar: It goes back to the initial trust that Origin put with us and everything that has been built over the years with them. All the knowledge, experience that Riley has, too, has been a big part. We got some financial questions, there's a source there with plenty of background that can guide us in the right direction.

Riley: He's ready to move to the next step. That's his own place, owning his own property. And we're going through that now, and that's quite an accomplishment.

Oscar: A big milestone for us to be able to have our own facility.

Riley: Yeah, nothing like having your name on a building.

Oscar: That's correct.

Riley: Always makes a banker proud to see a company get to that point.

Oscar: I feel like they treated me the way I treat my customers. I have actually recommended Origin Bank to some of my closest friends. Origin Bank has been able to help them as much as they helped me on growing their companies financially. This was my dream all along. Every piece of equipment has my name on it, and it stands out pretty brightly with that orange, so...

Riley: You'd get better impact if you paint it maroon. I'm not a big fan of the color orange. Having gone to A&M, I really kind of...it hurts my eyes when I see it.
