RUSTON, LA – Origin Bank has announced that Brandi Kyzar was awarded the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. Recognized and demanded by organizations worldwide, the PMP validates the competence of the project manager to lead and direct projects and teams. Requirements for the certification include a four-year secondary degree plus three years of project management experience, 4,500 hours leading and directing projects, and 35 hours project management education or a high-school diploma, five years of project management experience, 7,500 hours leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education. To maintain certification, the project manager must earn 60 professional development units every three years.

Kyzar is the information technology project manager for Origin, and has been with the bank since May 2004. In this position, she is responsible for the coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects in line with the bank’s strategic goal. In addition, Kyzar works with other departments within the organization to identify areas wherein it has opportunities to increase efficiency either through technology or process improvements, and coordinates with those departments to implement solutions.
Kyzar is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems. She is a member of the PMI Northern Louisiana Chapter and the United Way Steamboat Society. She is married to Kasey Kyzar, also an Origin employee, and together they have two daughters. Kyzar maintains an office at the bank’s Ruston Operations Center.
