Origin Bank Hires Matt Wilson as Mortgage Loan Officer

MADISON, MS – Origin Bank has announced that Matt Wilson has joined the bank as a mortgage loan officer with the Mississippi banking team.

Wilson has over ten years of banking experience, specializing in real estate lending with expertise in conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, bond and jumbo loans. He also has extensive knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines and procedures, and of underwriting policies and documentation needed to satisfy loan requirements. “We are very pleased to have Matt join the Origin Bank team,” said Steve Upchurch, executive vice president and manager of the bank’s mortgage operations. “He has vast experience and knowledge in many different aspects of mortgage lending, which will be a definite asset to the bank as our home lending operation continues to grow.”

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is on the board of directors for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce and was the 2016 director of mortgage bankers for the Mississippi Mortgage Banker board. He was a 2014 nominee for the Rising Star of Madison County, is a 2013 graduate of Leadership of Madison County, and was a senior page for Lieutenant Governor Amy Tuck and the Mississippi State Senate in 2004.
