Neighbors Cookies, LLC

Meryl: Would you like a cookie, Harold? Harold has actually been my family's banker for the good part of my lifetime and he's great friends my father and is almost like family to me.

Harold: Thank you for the Christmas gift.

Meryl: Oh. The brownie crisp?

Harold: My wife particularly loved these.

Meryl: Really?

Harold: I didn't get any.

Meryl: This company is something that my family acquired. We make cookie dough for primarily the fundraising industry so to help children raise money for their needs. They could build a playground or to go on a trip. It's really a special business since that was just a perfect fit for Harold and Origin to help us at this endeavor. Origin doesn't just take banking on a contractual term where I'm your customer and orders the bank but they really feel like that if they give back to the community, the community will give back to them.

Harold: Brings a great amount of pride to all of the bank and the employees that are there.

Meryl: So Neighbors was my grandfather's nickname to my father. I just felt like it was a perfect fit. Not only the product but also what we do here and that we give back to communities and that we show people what it is to be a neighbor.

Harold: I did know that was really from granddad.

Meryl: Oh. You didn't?

Harold: Yeah. I didn't know that part but her dad, anyone he greets...

Harold: He calls them neighbor.

Meryl:  He calls them neighbor.

Meryl: That's right. That's right. There is a lot of passion that goes behind each and every cookie that we make.

Harold: And the cookies are good too.

Meryl: Yeah. We do make a pretty..

Harold: That's a bonus.

Meryl: Pretty good cookie though, I have to say.

Harold: That's a bonus.

Meryl: I've had some really incredible people that have supported me along my journey as a business person and Harold is one of those people.

Harold: I'm very proud to be associated with Meryl.

Meryl: And being able to openly talk to him or ask him questions or ask his advice is very rare in a banking relationship.

Harold: We're going to have to take a time out.

Meryl: Mh-hmm. Cookie break. ♪ [music] ♪
