The Dream Manager Program: Giving Back to Our Employees

Origin’s core purpose is to enrich the lives of people in our community, and that includes our Origin team. We focus on “whole person” development, not just the “worker” aspect of our employees' lives. In this blog, we’re taking a special look at one of Origin Bank’s unique employee benefits: The Dream Manager Program.

The Dream Manager Program focuses on one thing: the employee. The program encourages team members to become the best version of themselves, helping them identify their dreams and develop an action plan to make those dreams come true. The program provides participants with tools, encouragement, and one-on-one support from a certified Dream Manager so they can meet their goals. Between 2019 and 2022, more than 250 of our employees have taken advantage of this great program.

Everyone has dreams they would like to happen one day, but the big question we ask ourselves is “how do we make our dreams come true?” The Dream Manager Program was designed to do just that - help our employees realize their dreams and make their bucket list goals a reality through practical plans and actionable steps. Certified Dream Managers help each participant define their dreams and goals, and then serve as an accountability partner to help keep them on track.

Throughout the 12-month program, employees complete a journey of self-improvement and self-fulfillment, learning how to define success on their own terms. Every month, participants meet with their Dream Manager to discuss their progress in four areas that make up their overall well-being: physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual health. These conversations, which are protected by a signed confidentiality statement, help employees to dig deeper and become the best version of themselves. From assessing their current state of mind to planning next steps, this program not only helps team members become better employees, but also better spouses, parents, and friends.
